Endlich habe ich es mal ins BrewDog St. Pauli in Hamburg geschafft... Direkt am Beginn der Reeperbahn ist es beheimatet, also eine topp Lage! Das erste Bier, das ich hier testen werde, stammt aus dem Headquarter in Schottland in Ellon und hört auf den Namen "BrewDog Pale Ale". 4,2vol.% hat das Bier, das goldgelb und blank im Glas vor mir steht. Der Schaum ist zurückhaltend, dafür gibt es einen dezent fruchtigen Geruch. Der Antrunk liefert eine leichte Zitrusfrucht, es kommt viel Grapefruit durch. Auch kann ich Orangenschale schmecken, das Ale ist dabei gut würzig, im weiteren Verlauf auch leicht bitter! Dabei bleibt die Frucht aber bestehen, im Hintergrund gibt es eine dezente Süße. Unterm Strich kann ich sagen... Ein gutes Pale Ale wird hier geboten, der würzige Hopfen dominiert hier insgesamt gesehen. Der sehr lange Abgang rundet das Bier ab.
