Ein Headliner aus dem Hause BrewDog aus Schottland wird heute Abend probiert. Das "BrewDog Ellon Double Hazy" ist ein New England IPA mit stattlichen 7,2% Alkohol. Gebraut wurde dieses Obergärige mit Gerste, Hafer und Weizen, optisch ist es einwandfrei. Hefetrüb und goldgelb ist es, der Geruch bietet eine Menge Tropenfrüchte. Diese kommen auch mit voller Wucht beim ersten Schluck durch. Steinfrüchte wie Pfirsich und Aprikose sind deutlich vorhanden, Maracuja und Ananas sind ebenfalls mit dabei, dazu noch Mango und Orangenschale. Hier ist wirklich viel los. Die würzigen Aromen sind natürlich ebenfalls gut dabei, leider kann man auch den Alkohol leicht schmecken. Dadurch entsteht eine leicht bittere Note. Ein wirklich sehr saftiges und würziges Bier aus Ellon. Ein sehr gutes NEIPA!
